GALAXY FC COACHING STAFF
Galaxy FC has in its coaching stable some of Australia’s finest coaches. All the coaches are at a minimum FFA accredited in Futsal and Football and mentored by AFC level Coaches. In addition to the current highly skilled AFC Accredited coaching staff. Galaxy will be looking at educating the Youth and Senior players to provide more support during training as assistants.
Vinicius De Carvalho Leite
Technical Director
Vinicius is considered to be one of the exceptional bright young up and comers on the World Futsal coaching scene and will hit the ground running for Galaxy FC, Bringing a new philosophy and development driven culture to the club.
Vinicius come to Galaxy on the back of Assisting previous Galaxy Head Coach Juliamo Schmeling with the Solomon Island National Futsal Team for the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup and now as the Heach Coach for the 2020 World Cup in Lithuania and will be the assistant coach for the Australian National team at the AMF World Cup later this year.
Formerly Galaxy’s Mens team captain for the 2015 and 2016 F League Sides and also the assistant coach for the Galaxy FC’s National Championship winning Women’s F League team in 2016, Vini knows what it takes to develop a winning team and club. An outstanding futsal player in Brazil, he played for the countries strongest clubs and has been leading championship winning teams here in Australia for the past decade.
Vinicius has been appointed the role of Technical Director for Galaxy FC. He will be responsible for preparing and delivering weekly training programs to include technical, tactical, physical and psychological aspects, analysing video sessions and tactical analysis. Vinicius has introduced a new game philosophy and is delivering new professional strategies to develop players individually and as a group.
The master Brazilian has put in place ideas and strategies in the club to prepare a plan for the next 5 years. He is a natural leader and backed with years of experience and knowledge will prepare a sound foundation for growth for Galaxy FC by delivering workshops for the junior coaches to improve their knowledge and skills.

Alex will bring a wealth of knowledge having worked in the industry for many years helping develop players to the best of their abilities, using coaching philosophy and training methodology based on Brazil’s best futsal clubs.
Whats the purpose of the Movement Analysis Galaxy Academy
Evaluate the individual movement platform by crossing relevant information to select strategies for recovery, prevention and evolution of the basic and advanced functions of physical performance. With this approach the motor development hierarchy is respected so the body harmony is included in the processes of pursuit of the desired performance.
Why does Galaxy Academy use the philosophy of functional training
In a simple and straightforward way, functional training is a form of physical exercise that empowers the body for activities that need to be carried out in our daily routine, for example: crouching, advancing, lowering, pulling, pushing, lifting and spinning. Functional Training adapts or develops exercises that allow individuals to perform physical or daily performance activities with better quality, body efficiency and with less risk of injury.
How does Galaxy benefit from being a specialist in functional training
As specialists in Functional Training we understand that our body works as an integrated unit where all muscle groups, fascia, bony components, joints and every neural part work together to produce movement in all directions. Another fact that differentiates our work is the integrated movement vision based on the evolution of neural stimuli in the acquisition of mobility and motor control, treating joint by joint, depending on the function of each one, and thus improving the motor pattern in the complex system that is the human body and its movements.
Rhys Parkes
Goalkeeper Coach
Despite the young age Rhys is an accomplished and well respected coach. in a short period of time has become one of the highest qualified coaches in the country. Rhys has achieved AFC level licenses in both football and futsal, as well as many other FFA level qualifications.
Rhys will continue to lead the goalkeeper training from Galaxy. He has been developing some of the finest goalkeepers throughout every age group in the club and many of these protégés having selected for NPL and state level goalkeepers. Many have won goalkeeping awards in tournaments they have entered all around the world.
Rhys understands the importance of quality goalkeeping and offers enhanced training methods specifically for this purpose. In addition to regular team training and practice. Galaxy provides technical goalkeeping sessions with emphasis on developing and improving the keepers individual skill set.
Rhys will oversee goalkeeper coaches technical sessions with specific exercises designed to improve the keeper’s decision-making, communication, management skills and the mental approach to the game. They also regularly attend team sessions and matches to evaluate our goalkeepers individual performance to identify every opportunity to improve their skills using these technical sessions.
Pablo Coletti
Galaxy Academy Coach
Pablo believes in a holistic approach which he sees as fundamental in any educational environment. Whilst the field is sport, the educational and core life values that provide the backbone to his training allows players to develop not just in futsal, but as a person in life.
Understanding that every player has different needs and arise from different backgrounds is a key factor to focus on the individual development to the best of their ability. Pablo’s strength lays that he offers specialised skill development training to individual players from 8 to 14 years old.
His goal is to develop confident, creative technical players whilst teaching essential social skills such as good sportsmanship and respect, in addition to a good attitude to practice and play. In Brazil Pablo has completed a certificate in football coaching and mentoring for children. In Australia, Pablo undertook all the Football and futsal community training courses in order to be certified to coach Jr players.
Prior to joining Northern Rivers football in July 2015, Pablo spent two years coaching children aged 5 to 12 on the Gold Coast. Since joining galaxy, Pablo has had great results without under 8’s to under 12’s. This includes, winning the Sydney international cup, Queensland State Futsal League, Johnny Warren Cup, Craig Foster International, State of Origin, Northern State league, Gatorade cup and many local tournaments.
